He has dedicated his life and career to empowering youth belonging to Black and Latinx minorities with his impactful organization named Genius Lab. Steward also serves on the board for Chicago Youth Programs and owning to his experience and expertise, was recently voted as Vice President of the organization.
Genius Lab is renowned for preparing young Black and Latinx youth for careers in IT by teaching business and coding skills. While talking about the Mission of his organization, Scott L. Similar to Genius Lab, Inc., Chicago Youth Programs is built on the principles of volunteerism, compassion, and support. CYP’s volunteers work tirelessly to serve Chicago’s youth who are deprived of basic facilities and opportunities. CYP provides over 40 comprehensive programs to at-risk youth, ages 3-25 with an intention to empower each of their youth to escape poverty by attaining the skills and degree necessary to attain financial independence. Scott L. Steward has experience of teaching at reputable institutions. His portfolio includes Roosevelt University, Chicago State University, DePaul University, Lewis University, the University of Guanajuato in Guanajuato, Mexico, and Chicago Public Schools. He has been teaching for more than 15 years at the high school level. He also served as the Board Member of StreetWise Partners, an organization that is working to eradicate homelessness in Chicago.
