Youth tech educator and founder of Genius Lab, Inc., Scott L. Steward will now serve as Vice President of Chicago Youth Programs

Scott Steward is an experienced youth trainer who is all geared up to multiply his impact by leading the Chicago Youth Program!

Chicago, IL, USA – Scott L. Steward is a celebrated business owner, youth tech educator, podcast host, and author. He has dedicated his life and career to empowering youth belonging to Black and Latinx minorities with his impactful organization named Genius Lab. Steward also serves on the board for Chicago Youth Programs and owning to his experience and expertise, was recently voted as Vice President of the organization.

Genius Lab is renowned for preparing young Black and Latinx youth for careers in IT by teaching business and coding skills. While talking about the Mission of his organization, Scott L. Steward said: “We use business and technology education to help young people tap into their potential making them more confident in their intellectual ability; also known as Genius. Our motto is getting a job or creating one. We are squarely focused on exposing Black and Latinx youth to the possibilities of learning how to manipulate technology to solve problems that do not yet exist. Similar to Genius Lab, Inc., Chicago Youth Programs is built on the principles of volunteerism, compassion, and support. CYP’s volunteers work tirelessly to serve Chicago’s youth who are deprived of basic facilities and opportunities. CYP provides over 40 comprehensive programs to at-risk youth, ages 3-25 with an intention to empower each of their youth to escape poverty by attaining the skills and degree necessary to attain financial independence. Scott L. Steward is in an ideal position to employ his skills and make a positive impact on the beneficiaries of both the communities, Genius Lab, Inc. and CYP.

Recently, the CEO of Wells Fargo showed his concern for the lack of talent in the minority communities. His thoughts have stirred up mixed comments from the industry leaders. However, with the presence of dedicated and passionate leaders such as Scott Steward who are managing excellent organizations that are producing technically abled and skilled graduates belonging to minorities, it is difficult to believe that talent is the problem in Black and Latinx communities.

Scott L. Steward has experience of teaching at reputable institutions. His portfolio includes Roosevelt University, Chicago State University, DePaul University, Lewis University, the University of Guanajuato in Guanajuato, Mexico, and Chicago Public Schools. He has been teaching for more than 15 years at the high school level. He also served as the Board Member of StreetWise Partners, an organization that is working to eradicate homelessness in Chicago.
